Getting around Columbus

Airport

We recommend flying into The John Glenn Columbus International Airport (CMH), which is approximately 15 minutes from downtown. Use their site to get real-time flight information for departures and arrivals.

Transportation

The average fare from John Glenn International to downtown is $15–$20 using Uber and Lyft. The city also counts on Yellow Cabs with an average fare of $20–$23. For more information, download this printable transportation guide.

Museums

Columbus Museum of ArtOn Thursday, November 16, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., everyone can go to the museum for $5, or get 50% off general admission by downloading the Attendee Savings Pass.

  • In addition, come to CMA and show your conference badge (physical or digital) to receive 50% off general admission. After the conference discount, general admission is only $4.50 for teachers (special exhibition admission is still $8). Tickets can be purchased at our Welcome Desk during regular business hours. Billy Ireland Cartoon Library and MuseumThe Billy Ireland Cartoon Library and Museum is always free! The museum is open Tuesday through Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Cultural Arts CenterThe Cultural Arts Center has two galleries, both of which offer free admission year-round. There are paid programs, workshops, and classes available at the center as well.

COSI—COSI (The Center of Science and Industry) offers free admission for certified teachers.
