Annual Convention: November 17-20, 2022      2022 Dates & Deadlines

Convention attendees

Attending the 2022 NCTE Annual Convention will connect you with invaluable professional learning, new research and emerging practice, and rejuvenation that comes from time thinking and connecting with thousands of literacy educators. Join us November 17-20 in Anaheim, California, for the most enriching Convention of the year.

This Convention offers access to more than 690 sessions led by literacy educators, for literacy educators. Centered around the theme, !Suenos! Pursuing the Light, this Convention will include sessions and messages specific to our time—finding the light for ourselves and for students while in a period of darkness, exacerbated by a worldwide pandemic. Join us as we share the ways our individual and collective pursuit of light has assisted and continues to assist us in imagining a new story with bright spots and new sueños (dreams) for ourselves, our students, and our communities.

Our  registration fees  are priced lower than most other national conventions, and they include admission to our large exhibit hall, which provides access to books and exclusive conversations with authors. There’s so much to enjoy and learn at this premier event for the ELA community. Whether this is your first NCTE Convention or a home you’ve returned to for decades, we are eager to welcome you.
